The various wood species available to be used for the creation of our bespoke pieces are both local and exotic species of hardwoods.
These hardwoods are sourced from several different suppliers, we put in the extra work and time to physically hand pick each piece ourselves.
This ensures that we always use only the very best quality materials.

My earliest memory of the world of wood wasn’t climbing trees or tossing sticks in the backyard—it was as a young boy, jumping into heaps of sawdust after a long day’s work at my parents’ small factory in sunny South Africa. You could say the seed was planted early; woodwork has surrounded me from the very beginning.
Spending most of my time in the bushveld, wandering through the bundu, I developed a deep connection with nature—learning the names of trees, the colors of the sand, and the rhythm of the land. It wasn’t until after high school that I truly realized how much of this knowledge had stayed with me.
That connection lives on in every Cocobolo piece. Each creation carries a story, shaped from timber that has stood the test of time—wood that has lived longer than any of us. We hope you not only admire their craftsmanship but also appreciate the rich history and natural beauty they hold.
